Gorgeous beaches and balmy weather aside, Daytona Beach is loaded with engaging events for the entire family. In fact, Daytona Beach is so passionate about its festivals that it is referred to as the Festival Capital of Florida!
Over 150 musical acts fill 18 stages and 30 artists line Main Street during the Daytona Palooza Music and Art Festival on October 1st. The Daytona Blue Festival is a three-day event that draws thousands October 7-9. Each year, approximately 125,000 motorcyclists ride to Daytona for live music, shows and rallies at Biketoberfest from October 13-16th; and Bike Week, which is an even larger motorcycle event, stretches an entire week in March. Halifax Art Festival, the second oldest continual festival in Florida, showcases hundreds of artisans from all over the country November 5th and 6th. In honor of Turkey Day, Daytona Beach hosts the Turkey Run November 24th through the 27th. It features thousands of unique autos and swap meet vendors, making it the largest classic car show in the United States.
But, of course, that’s not all. Daytona Beach is home to the Tortugas, its minor league baseball team that makes a hit all summer long. There is a Classic Car Cruise-in the first Saturday of every month; and the Bandshell amphitheater features free jazz, blues, contemporary, folk, big band and Dixieland concerts through October at Oceanfront Park. And let’s not forget the infamous Daytona International Speedway, the site of the Daytona 500, the Coke Zero 400, the Daytona 200, the Rolex 24-hour Marathon Race and so much more!
