Take note music lovers! The 19th Annual New Smyrna Beach Jazz Fest was a rousing success (as usual, of course)! Soulful sounds filled the air along the streets from the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the Indian River, entertaining revelers all day and evening long.
New Smyrna Beach is known for its amazing events, and one of its best is the annual New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival – very possibly Central Florida’s premier music event of the year! In fact, the NSB Jazz Festival is so popular that many out-of-towners even plan their vacations around it just so they can attend!
This year’s New Smyrna Beach Jazz Fest, full of great jazzy music, good food and plenty of fun, held its kick-off concert Thursday evening at the Brannon Center on Riverside Drive. Flagler Tavern had its own kick-off party on Friday evening with music by The John DePaola Quintet. The fun continued all day and evening Saturday on both Flagler Avenue and Canal Street. Then, the crescendo took place Sunday on Third Avenue, N. Causeway and S. Atlantic.
The New Smyrna Beach Jazz Fest began as just some Flagler Avenue fun and today this unparalleled musical affair has expanded to 24 participating venues with hundreds of the country’s top jazz musicians playing complementary concerts over the course of four days.
So, if you’re all jazzed up for next year (like pretty much everyone else in New Smyrna Beach), get your dancing shoes and party pants ready, because the Annual New Smyrna Beach Jazz Fest is certainly reason to celebrate!
