Then there is the New Smyrna Beach Festival of the Arts with art exhibits, demonstrations, hands-on projects, food vendors and live music.
If music is your thing, soulful sounds fill the air in May when the four-day New Smyrna Beach Blues Fest rolls around. Island sounds will soothe your soul during the New Smyrna Beach Reggae and Island Music Festival in June. Then everyone flocks to Flagler to sample the area’s greatest seafood dishes and listen to live music during the New Smyrna Beach Seafood Festival in August. And don’t miss the toe-tapping New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival in September!
Compete for prizes and appreciate sand sculpture at the Sand Art Festival in October; and the New Smyrna Beach Kite Festival is a veritable sight to see in November. December promises holiday gaiety with the New Smyrna Beach Holiday Boat Parade, Christmas on Canal Street and a beautiful Christmas light display on Flagler.
Every month along historic Canal Street, visitors can enjoy a Classic Car Show including great food and entertainment; a Craft Beer Walk, where participants can sample a delicious array of craft beers; and Music Night at the Hub, with live performances by talented local artists. Flagler Avenue is filled with fun too! There are art demonstrations and a unique variety of fine arts and crafts during the Art Walk, or try your choice of wines during a Progressive Wine Tasting event.
