The New Future with COVID-19 Rules

Since COVID-19, the world has become a very different place; and, as business owners, we need to think outside of the box to remain relative and profitable within our prospective industries.

Even our commercial space is shrinking. By that, I mean that there are less people who can occupy our brick and mortar stores due to social distancing rules.

However, there’s a solution. There is a place where you can increase your “space” without purchasing or renting more property. That place is online – virtual real estate, if you will; enabling you to serve more customers by simply and affordably adding an online component to your business. If you can’t serve them in-person, serve them online. They may actually prefer it and you certainly will, because once it is set-up, online purchasing virtually runs itself!

And the COVID rules that have given rise to this new commercial future of ours don’t just apply to brick and mortar stores. Less people are comfortable inviting vendors into their homes, so business has also decreased for all types of service providers.

We can combat this as well by creating a comfort level for our existing and potential customers and putting them at ease. You can start by telling them about the safety measures you have put into place – things like the fact that all of the professionals who work for your company have been COVID tested and that they will wear a mask and provide appropriate social distance the entire time they are in your home.

There are numerous safety/peace of mind protocols each type of business can put into place. For instance, if you own a restaurant and you are plagued with a decline in your eat-in and take-out diners, you can offer no-contact pick-up service. If you are a boutique owner, you can set up hand sanitizing stations and establish better traffic patterns within your store.

Don’t forget that whatever you do as a business owner to improve the overall customer experience, you need to shout it from the rooftops, so that customers and potential customers are aware. If you don’t, it’s very much like that whole tree falls and no one hears it thing.

The good news is that all of that can be done through online venues like your website, social media interaction and printed materials such as posters in your windows. Hosting NSB can seamlessly and cost-effectively help you with all of that and more, including (but certainly not limited to) website augmentation with innovative graphics, original soundtracks, professional digital photography and videos.
