It may go without saying since New Smyrna Beach is virtually surrounded by water, but here goes anyway…whether your kids prefer boogie boarding, building sand castles, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing or snorkeling, there is always something for beach lovers to do. Not only does New Smyrna offer up some fabulous pristine beaches, there are parks galore! Eleven parks – providing everything from ocean views, to riverside fun, picnicking, to exploring nature trails – grace the city limits of New Smyrna Beach. 

New Smyrna Beach is also one of the best art towns around, simply bubbling over with great galleries, studios and workshops; so meander through our cool artsy town or take a class in jewelry making, watercolors, pottery or glass blowing!

If you prefer millions of gallons of rushing water, a mega-arcade, go-kart racing with a dash of golf, then Daytona Lagoon is just what you need! You’ll find rock walls, a ¼ mile go-kart track, 18 rounds of miniature golf, laser tag, rock walls, a wave pool, water slides and more at this premier Daytona waterpark and family entertainment center!

What about camp, you ask? The Atlantic Center for the Arts draws talented artists from around the world and they, along with The Hub on Canal, offer art camps. There is also the YMCA camp in Port Orange with swimming, sports, crafts and more…all geared toward helping your child grow and thrive both mentally and physically. The Marine Discovery Center prides itself in its “hands-on, feet-wet” children’s programs, including island exploration on a 40-passenger floating classroom, kayaking through one of the nation’s largest ecosystems and even scuba diving classes!
