There are some cool things to try with the kids this summer throughout Central Florida:
Legoland, in Winter Haven, is a 150-acre theme park with shows, attractions and over 50 rides. There is also a pirate-themed hotel or lakefront beach resort bungalows for multi-day stays.
The Crayola Experience in Orlando, voted 2023 Best Children’s Museum by USA Today, offers plenty of hands-on fun, a color playground, Crayola factory presentations and a Crayola store. It’s a great place for birthday parties too!
There’s also Gatorland, where you can take an airboat ride in search of alligators, but there is also ziplining, nighttime tours and more predators such as crocs, wildcats, snakes and more.
If its animals your children adore, the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Sanford is 116 acres filled with animals, attractions and educational presentations, as well as rides, night hikes, scavenger hunts, close animal encounters and even overnight zoo camp!
If you’re looking for something even more local, you’ll find Noah’s Landing Petting Zoo in Daytona Beach, with pony rides, face painting and more!
Don’t forget the fun and educational opportunities at The Marine Discovery Museum right in New Smyrna Beach, which is swimming with interactive marine life exhibits, boat tours, summer camp and Indian River Lagoon conservation programs and activities.
